It is getting to be that time of year. Everyone is packing their travel trailers, motor homes and fifth wheels and making plans for their big adventures. I recently talked to several customers who have found wonderful State, Local and National Parks to enjoy and plan to travel a shorter distance and enjoy the amenities of the RV park more.
In recent years we have seen a change in the demographics of the RV owner and the age of the average RV owner is a lot younger than it was 10 years ago. Many of these families are making plans for shorter trips to destinations they can travel to and from in a weekend or extended weekend. It’s surprising that it may actually cost more for the average family of 4 to eat out for Pizza than it costs for one night’s reservations at a local RV park. Take time now to pull out your calendar and set some tentative travel dates for the upcoming summer and fall months. Parks fill up fast and you need to plan in advance if you want the best RV experience. Some of the State and National parks will actually make reservations 10 months in advance so it’s not too soon to start thinking about fun!
If you cancel your reservations you may be charged a small fee, but I look at it as a donation to our Texas Parks and Wildlife and I’ve never had to pay more than one night’s fee to cancel. Have your family fun night soon ad mark your calendars for RV adventures.
